Now with Windows Hello users can scan their face, iris or fingerprint and verify identity to access Windows phones, laptops and personal computers. Microsoft has announced the feature on Tuesday. According to Microsoft, users' biometric data will be stored on the device and it will be kept anonymous. It means personal data will remain safe from hackers.

Windows Hello will be available on new devices only which are capable to run the feature. As told by Intel, all machines which incorporate RealSense F200 sensor are capable of running Windows Hello. The feature is the latest effort from Microsoft which is always trying to make interaction with users smoother and easier. Apple and Samsung have already begun putting fingerprint sensors on their smartphones and other type of biometrics are also being developed across products and services.

Windows Hello improves online security as it enables you to authenticate apps without even a password being stored on the device and the network server. Microsoft has already begun testing for Windows 10 but no exact date has been announced for the launch. In case of facial or iris detection, Windows Hello uses a combination of special hardware and software. Infrared technology is used in the cameras which can identify your face or iris.
